Speaking of Lovecraft, It seems that in the mid-20s Soviet dictator Josef Stalin ordered the creation of a most henious and diabloical hybrid of man and ape. This man-ape would be an invincible human being, a super-warrior.

See you think H.P. just made this stuff up, that it was just make-believe, deranged imaginings of a twisted mind. Well you would be right in that, but it turns out that another twisted mind with a helluva lot more power thought that this would be feasble enough to spend $200,000 in 1926 to try and make this happen.

Apprently one Ilya Ivanov was paid this money with the expectation that human fertilization of chimpanzees was possible. I just want you all to know that just becuase a dictator tells you to do something does not make it right. You can go to hell for following an order if it is attempting to create an abomination.

Even if you do not believe in hell, don’t you think if someone ordered you to do this you might stop and think - Um, might this be a poor idea? Maybe getting shot would be preferable to this assignment. Can you imagine coming home from work?

Sometimes its best not be top of your class. Otherwise if you are top of the class, you may have to make some hard decisions if there is a despot around.
