It is not often that you get a holiday named after your favorite Tarot card. Please refresh the page if you don’t see it you soon will. Its like the elephant in the room that no one wants to do a site specific piece about.
Love from your favorite fool,
Post Script - Back to normal.
Post Post Script - Here is the design that was up on fool’s day. I may want to use something like it for a new theme.
Easter at the Miceland house was very bittersweet. There are lots of things to be sad about. However, there are also lots of reasons to be happy. We are praying more than ever and grateful to have each other.
Right now I am grateful I have Easter Eggs in mah lunchbox. Awesome. Mrs. Mice makes the BEST snarce to be enjoyed with Easter Eggs. It’s mustard based and its very tasty.
Hope yours just as nice. DJ went to her best friend’s b-day on Easter Sunday. I missed them but happy that cake was eaten and that a good time was had. Myself I went to mass for the first time in a long time. I admit it, I like going to church. And really if you can’t go to church on Easter, you just might as well say you never go. If you are an Atheist I suppose that would not be a problem.
Really I can no more be an Atheist than I can be say a Martian.
Hopefully I’m not a Martian and no one told me. THAT would be embarrassing.
Wear some green today. I don’t care if you aren’t Irish.
Going to be eating some corned beef and cabbage with boiled potatoes this evening. YUM.
I found out yesterday was not Presidents Day. Neither was it President’s Day, nor Presidents’ Day. It was the Federal Holiday of Washington’s Birthday.
I know you think - We used to have Lincoln’s Birthday and Washington’s birthday and now they have been mushed together in one holiday. Not so. Depending upon what state you reside in different Presidents birthdays are observed in February. There is only one President’s birthday honored by the Federal government and that is Washington’s. As seen here. Also his actual birthday was on February 22, in case you wanted to know.
I happen to live in California. The schools here also get Lincoln’s Birthday off. Though most non-teachers/ non-students do not appear to. So at least in California we have a Federal holiday and a State Holiday. Two Presidents, two holidays, two political bodies, no mushing. In case you wondered it is celebrated on Feb 12th, his actual birthday. *Gasp*
For us Californians, we also legally honor Cesar Chavez with his own day. Most people I know do not have this off but I guess someone does. Cesar Chavez was a labor and civil rights advocate. Ironically, Cesar Chavez was born in Arizona where Cesar Chavez Day is not a state holiday. Nice.
Hope you all had a great Anti-anti-Valentine’s Day. I know I did.
This was what I got at my team Christmas party White Elephant exchange. I thought I was gonna get something cool because it looked like a DVD set. Well its sorta a cooking show so I will give it a watch. I do think its kinda funny. It could easily be the least desirable gift in the whole exchange. Ha ha jokes on mice.
