Sharks vs Canucks
I guess my life can't be too bad if work takes me to a Hockey game huh? The game was lots and lots of fun. The score , for those who are counting was Sharks (3) - Canucks (1) Even my friend DD from work came and had fun. She said she liked the human slingshot best. This a game where they get two fans. one to sit in an inner tube and the other to slingshoot them into some large fluffy bowling pins. They also had these little kids play about 10 minutes of hockey. While they played "Linus and Lucy" which we all know is Vince Gauraldi and used in A Charlie Brown Christmas. I liked that.My entires have been sparse, but that doesn't mean I haven't been working on my blog. I'm trying everything to get the individual archives formatted, but its slow going and I have been staying up past 3 in the morning all this week to do it. Ugh.

Getting Flowers, Not off a Grave

Not On a Grave Either
My wife got these for me. If I have not said it I am really happy I have a wife. One who knows what a sappy wussy man that she married is happy for it. I love flowers. I love getting flowers. Just being around them makes me happy. Anyway, I thought I'd share.

Not So New

Here is a pic I have been meaning to post. I'm very proud of her. Its the first new car I have ever bought for me. Is it decadent? Yes. It is. But it fit our Christmas Tree in the back very nicely. The old truck, Kismet, has been willed to my brother. He is happy with it, except a cat peed in it. Hopefully he will keep the windows shut from now on.

Art of the Other
I got two cool links from my sister today. These two organizations both support "Outsider Art". This is images, sculpture and other media created by persons with no formal art training. My sister's boyfriend has clients that attend these workshops and classes. I believe they are mentally disabled.NIADART Center
Creative Growth Art Center
I am very seriously considering donating my time and money to these organizations. This truly is God's work they are doing. Just going to these websites made me cry.

What’s In A Name?
miceland was originally the name given to all the time and energy it took to be around me by my ex-girlfriend. It was used in this way: I need some time outside of miceland right now! That isn't an exact quote and I'm not going to reveal who said it. Suffice to say it was spoken disparagingly, but I'm wearing it as a badge of honor.A Coney Island of the Mind is a book of poems by Lawrence Ferlinghetti. I loved Ferlinghetti and the Beat poets the moment I read them. The byline is a tip of the hat to the Beats wherever they are, living or dead.

Sweet Tooth
This morning I got a "sweet tooth". Its Earl Grey with too much sugar and too much cream. This is they way my Gramma used to make me tea. I thought I was such a big kid. Now we know the truth. Its my new favorite, thought I had my old favorite the other day. The old favorite is a "white nun". Steamed milk with a shot of almond (orgeat) Italian soda. Yum.

Happy Birthday to Me!
Without thinking too much about the movie of the same name It is in fact my birthday. I am working hard because at 2:00pm (or so) mrs. mice is going to which me away to I'm not sure where.Last night I attended mrs. mice's Irish class and jumped back into it. I embraced the suckitude but I had fun.
Last weekend (Labor Day) I saw Pirates of the Carribean which I loved. Only today Johnny Depp's quotes about America saddended me. It seems he has forgotton from whence he came.
You may have noticed that the page changed. It has changed more than is apparrent, and more changes to come. But I should save that for the change blog.
I got some nice AIM chats and e-cards from folks who remebered my birthday. I brought Krispy Kremes in to comemorate the day. Yum.
Have fun me China Plates!
